We are excited to invite you to support the revival of the Ukrainian Library in Brisbane – a meaningful project initiated by the Ukrainian Book Club Brisbane and supported by the Ukrainian Community of Queensland.

This GoFundMe campaign will help us to raise funds for purchase books for the Ukrainian library that will be located in the Ukrainian Club in Brisbane (47 Galsworthy St, Holland Park West QLD 4121) and will be open for public access.

Our goal is to bring in a mix of classic and modern Ukrainian authors, children’s literature and educational materials about Ukraine’s art, history and culture that will be purchased directly from Ukraine. Part of the books will be in English to engage a wider English-speaking community.

Immersion into the language and world of literary heroes of Ukrainian folklore and literature is crucial for helping our community to stay connected to the Ukrainian language and preserving Ukrainian culture, especially for the younger generation.

By supporting the Ukrainian library, the broader community will have an opportunity to engage with Ukrainian culture and language, fostering greater understanding and appreciation of it and increasing cultural awareness.

The funds we raise will be used to purchase books and cover shipping costs from Ukraine. Every $ donated will help us grow the Ukrainian library collection. Together, we can make sure that the Ukrainian language and culture continue to thrive!
